About Us

Built by Coaches, for Coaches

World Stage Travels is the evolution of Northern Light Sports — a family-run company founded by two lifelong baseball men who have spent decades taking American teams to Europe and bringing the game (and the experience) to the next level.

Tony Dress

Co-Founder & Director of Baseball Programs

A Concord, California native and lifelong first baseman, Tony played varsity at Concord High, earned All-League honors at Los Medanos JC, and finished his college career as Chico State’s 1993 MVP and Most Outstanding Hitter. In 1992 he represented MLB International’s Envoy program for two months in Czechoslovakia — the experience that changed everything.

From 1992–1996 Tony served as MLB International’s Regional Game Development Coordinator across Europe and the Pacific, founded the first National Baseball Team of Norway, and has been the trusted consultant to the Norwegian Softball and Baseball Federation for over 25 years. He has turned around programs at Acalanes High, Los Medanos JC, and San Francisco State, and currently serves as as hitting coach at Diablo Valley College.

Tony’s mission: give American players and coaches the same life-changing international experience he had — but make it affordable, competitive, and unforgettable.

Dave Majeski

Co-Founder & Director of Operations

Based in Greenville/Simpsonville, South Carolina, Dave has spent his entire career creating competitive opportunities for youth baseball and softball players. He founded Northern Light Sports to bring U.S. teams to Europe for real games, real venues, and real cultural immersion long before “sports tourism” became a buzzword.

Through decades of running international tours, coaching clinics, and large-scale events, Dave perfected the model that nets approximately $10,000 per team while keeping costs dramatically lower than traditional tour operators. His hands-on experience with logistics, European partners, and the Envoy coach program forms the operational backbone of everything we do.

Dave handles the ground game so Tony can focus on the baseball — together they’ve taken hundreds of American kids to play (and win) on the world stage.

Our Origin

Tony and Dave have been running international baseball & softball tours for over 20 years under Northern Light Sports. In 2025 they joined forces with new technology and European partners (PDM Tourism Group, United World Games, Mizuno) to create World Stage Travels — the same trusted experience, now open to volleyball, flag football, choirs, and beyond.

Why We’re Different

We are not a high-volume tour company and we’re not a recruiting platform. We are coaches who build fewer, better trips — real competition in historic venues, cultural immersion that players remember forever, and an Envoy model that lets passionate coaches travel free when they bring their team.

Where We’re Going

2026 and beyond: expand into choir & performing arts tours, integrate college recruiting pipelines, and continue building the most trusted name in competitive international travel for American teams and ensembles.

World Stage Travels exists because Tony Dress and Dave Majeski believe every serious high school or club program deserves the chance to compete on the world stage — without breaking the bank or settling for a sightseeing checklist.

If you’re a coach or director ready to give your kids that experience, we’re ready to make it happen.
